Public Housing - Congregate Living

The HRA owns and manages the Winslow Wentworth House located in the downtown area of Turners Falls, Massachusetts. The facility contains 17 units of shared community supported housing for frail elders and handicapped individuals.

The HRA works with the Franklin County Home Corporation to coordinate essential services that enable each resident live in the congregate setting.

The facility offers barrier-free access, a prepared noon-time meal, a community dining room, a community living room, an on-site laundry room, and Congregate Coordinator services. The Winslow Wentworth House is situated within close proximity to transportation, stores, churches, and other public facilities.

General Eligibility

Households must be within the income limits for Massachusetts Chapter 667 & 705 housing. As part of the application process, applicants must authorize HRA to conduct background checks on criminal history and past rental history. Residency is contingent upon a satisfactory Multi-disciplinary Team Assessment.
