Robin Sherman is selected to become Franklin
County Regional Housing and Redevelopment
Authority's
new Executive Director
After an exhaustive search for an executive director that drew applicants from as far away as Baltimore and Chicago, the Franklin County Regional Housing and Redevelopment Authority discovered that the best candidate among the forty resumes it received lived right next door.
Joanie Bernstein, the Authority’s Interim Executive Director announced today that former Montague Town Planner and Conservation Agent Robin Sherman will take over the agency's reins on December 1st. “We’re thrilled to have Robin as our new executive director. She has the expertise and the skills--as well as a real passion for Franklin County -- that will serve the Authority well. Robin’s a great selection.”
Sherman, who has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government as well as a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University, takes over leadership of the Authority and its thirty-six employees from Paul Douglas, who served as executive director from 1987 until his recent retirement. |
