Staff Accountant

If the answer to these questions is “yes,” we’d like to hear from you! The Franklin County Regional Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant.
Duties
Maintaining the financial records for HRA’s programs and grants, including creating journal entries, posting to ledgers and closing each month timely. Includes account analysis, journal entries, trial balance, Accounts Receivable collections and generating various financial reports.
Qualifications and
Experience
Degree in Accounting or related field and 1 year experience in a similar position in a public agency or non-profit organization, or some college with 6 years experience in all aspects of general accounting. Successful experience with computerized accounting systems and good technical skills with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Previous experience with federal and state funding sources helpful.
