Administrative/People Person Needed
Franklin County Regional Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) has an immediate full-time position for an energetic team player in the Leased Housing Department. The successful candidate is a person that can handle a large volume of paperwork, has excellent people skills, is well organized, and has the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well independently, have a high attention to detail and adapt well to change. Sensitivity to challenges faced by low-income people is a must.
Qualifications and
Experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to perform complex math computations; interpret complex federal regulations; possess general computer skills (Word & Excel); experience with housing subsidy programs preferred; bi-lingual in Spanish an added plus.
Job duties include:
Independently organize files so the necessary records and documents are processed and updated within specific time limits; interview applicants and participants to obtain financial and other eligibility data; determine housing program eligibility; interpret and apply federal, state, and local housing program rules and regulations; explain housing programs and regulations to applicants, participants and landlords.
