1. Cost Accountant - Finance Department

The Franklin County Regional Housing and Redevelopment Authority seeks part-time employee to maintain books of account for a complex construction project.  Successful candidate will be familiar with standard cost accounting methods, including double entry accounting, posting to general ledgers from journals, creating monthly closing entries, obtaining monthly trial balances, and producing financial statements.  2-year accounting degree plus 2 years work experience with computerized accounting systems required; experience with accounting in construction context strongly preferred.

2. Leased Housing Representative

The Franklin County Regional Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) has an immediate full-time position opening in the Leased Housing Department.  The successful candidate is a person that can handle a large volume of paperwork, has excellent people skills, is well organized, and has the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.  Must work well independently, have a high attention to detail and adapt well to change.  Sensitivity to challenges faced by low-income people is a must.
Qualifications:  A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to perform complex math computations; ability to interpret federal regulations; must possess general computer skills (Word & Excel); experience with housing subsidy programs preferred; bi-lingual in Spanish an added plus.
Job duties include:  Independently organize files so the necessary records and documents are processed and updated within specific time limits; interview applicants and participants to obtain financial and other eligibility data; determine housing program eligibility; Interpret and apply federal, state, and local housing program rules and regulations; explain housing programs and regulations to applicants and participants and landlords.

3. Leased Housing Clerical Assistant (Part-Time)

Franklin County Regional Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) seeks energetic team player to provide clerical services including providing program information, client intake, data entry, record-keeping and reception. 

Qualifications:  Good interpersonal and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented; ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines, experience with computers and MS office; ability to use standard office equipment. Desire to provide housing services to low-income persons essential, experience with housing subsidy programs a plus.  Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable.
