Public Facilities - Community Development Block Grants
| Due to limited
capital budgets within Franklin County and Noth Quabbin
towns; municipalities seek Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG)
to help finance public facility projects. HRA assists
these municipalities in securing CDBG funding for
many public facility projects.
A "Public Facility" is defined
as a building or structure that is publicly owned
and used by persons seeking access to services provided
by or available in the facility. |
|
Public facilities improvements conducted by most municipalities
are eligible for CDBG assistance under Title I of the Housing
and Community Development Act of 1974. These funds can be
used for building facilities.
